How To Use AI For Faster Sales Call Prep
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Most people hop on a sales call with a calendar invite and a guess. We do the opposite. We share a tight, practical workflow for using AI before a sales call so you walk in already understanding the prospect’s world, asking better questions, and handling pushback without getting rattled. If you’ve ever felt like you’re wasting the first 10 minutes gathering basics you could have learned earlier, this approach is built for you.
We start with AI assisted prospect research: take the name and company, drop it into an AI tool, and generate a clear snapshot of what the business does, who they serve, and what pain points are common in their industry. That small shift changes the feel of the conversation because you stop sounding like a stranger and start sounding like someone who did the work. From there, we show how to use AI to anticipate sales objections by sharing your offer, your price point, and your audience, then rehearsing responses so you’re not winging it when price, timing, or fit comes up.
We also dig into discovery questions, because generic prompts lead to generic deals. When your questions reflect the prospect’s actual context, the call gets easier and more productive. The hidden payoff is confidence: not just confidence in your offer, but confidence that you understand their situation. Why AI Before The Call
SPEAKER_01What's happening, everyone? Jason Wright here. Sarah's with me today. I want to talk about something that I don't hear enough people discussing, and that is using AI before a sales call.
SPEAKER_00Before the call. Not during, not after.
SPEAKER_01Before. Most people show up to a sales call with a name, a time slot, and maybe a vague idea of what the person does. That's a huge missed opportunity.
SPEAKER_00So what does AI assisted prep actually look like?
SPEAKER_01Start with research. You've got a name, you've got a company. Feed that into an AI tool and ask it to summarize what that business does, who they serve, what their likely pain points are based on their industry. In five minutes you have a profile that used to take 30.
SPEAKER_00That alone changes the feel of the call for the prospect.
Objections Rehearsal Before You Sell
SPEAKER_01Completely. When you walk in already knowing their world, you're not asking basic questions. You're having a different conversation. People can feel the difference between someone who did their homework and someone who didn't.
SPEAKER_00What else beyond research?
SPEAKER_01Anticipate objections. Tell the AI your offer, your price point, and your audience, and ask it to list the most common objections you're likely to hear. Then ask it to help you think through your responses. You're basically running a rehearsal before you ever get on the call.
Discovery Questions That Feel Personal
SPEAKER_00I like that. You're not winging it. You're walking in with a game plan.
SPEAKER_01The third piece is having AI help you prepare your discovery questions. Not generic questions, but ones tailored specifically to that prospect's situation. If you know there are a real estate investor who runs a team of ten, your questions should reflect that context.
SPEAKER_00So you're showing up personalized, prepared, and confident.
Confidence Gains And A Free Resource
SPEAKER_01The call itself becomes easier because you've already done the thinking. Most people underestimate how much of a sales conversation happens before you ever open your mouth.
SPEAKER_00I'd also say there's a confidence piece that's hard to put a number on. When you walk in prepared, you just carry yourself differently.
SPEAKER_01You do. And prospects pick up on that immediately. Confidence isn't just about knowing your offer, it's about knowing their situation. That's what preparation buys you, and AI makes that preparation fast enough that you'll actually do it.
SPEAKER_00That's a really different way to think about where the work actually goes.
