How To Use AI Without Panic
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
AI hype is loud, relentless, and designed to make you feel like you’re already late. We take the opposite stance and back it up with what owners are actually doing: most people feel little to no pressure to “adopt AI,” and the ones getting real results aren’t chasing trends. They’re using AI tools when it solves a problem, and ignoring it when it doesn’t.
We unpack the difference between competitive reality and manufactured panic. Yes, AI can give your business an edge when you apply it well. No, you don’t need to grab every new tool the second it drops. We share a simple gut check to help you spot the moment you’re reaching for AI out of fear instead of strategy, plus why calm decision making leads to better outcomes than anxious, scattered experimenting. If you’ve ever read a viral thread and felt behind, this conversation puts that feeling in its place.
You’ll leave with a practical way to choose a few high value workflows, go deeper, and build momentum at your pace. We also close with a quick resource for a different kind of “don’t guess” decision: if you’re thinking about paid ads, take our Paid Ads Readiness Quiz to see whether it’s the right move right now or what to tighten up first. Subscribe for more clear headed guidance, share this with a friend who feels AI stressed, and leave a review if it helped you rethink your next step.
If this sparked ideas for your brand or business, subscribe for more deep dives, share the show with a founder who needs focus, and leave a quick review to help others find it. Welcome And A Hot Take
SPEAKER_01What's happening everyone? Jason Wright here. Georgia's in the mix today.
SPEAKER_00Hey everyone.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna say something today that's a little against the grain for a guy who talks about AI every day.
Most Owners Feel No AI Pressure
SPEAKER_01You're allowed to not care about the hype.
SPEAKER_00Coming from you, that is a little surprising.
SPEAKER_01Right? But the data backs me up and it's freeing. The surveys are showing that most owners feel little or no pressure to use AI. Something like two thirds report low or no pressure at all. And the ones using it are using it because it solves a real problem, not because they're scared of falling behind.
SPEAKER_00So the fear of missing out narrative is overblown.
SPEAKER_01Way overblown. The whole adopt AI now or your business dies. Message is mostly coming from people selling AI. The actual owners on the ground are calmer than that. They're picking it up when it helps and ignoring it when it doesn't.
Competitive Edge Versus Manufactured Panic
SPEAKER_00But isn't there real competitive pressure? You've said that yourself on this show.
SPEAKER_01I have, and there is. But there's a difference between competitive reality and manufactured panic. The reality is AI can give you an edge if you use it well. The panic is you have to use every new tool the second it drops or you're doomed. The first is true, the second is nonsense.
The Gut Check For New Tools
SPEAKER_00So how does someone tell the difference in the moment?
SPEAKER_01Ask why you're reaching for a tool. If you're picking it up because it solves a problem you actually have, great, that's real. If you're picking it up because
You Are Not Behind On AI
SPEAKER_01you saw a thread that made you feel behind, stop. That's the hype talking, not your business.
SPEAKER_00That's a useful gut check.
SPEAKER_01It's the whole game, honestly. The owners winning with AI aren't chasing every shiny thing. The research is clear, they're being pragmatic. They evaluate a tool on whether it makes them work better, not on whether it's trending.
SPEAKER_00So not caring about the hype is actually a strategy.
SPEAKER_01It's a great strategy. When you stop reacting to every announcement, you get calm, and calm lets you make better decisions. You pick tools on purpose instead of out of fear. You go deep on a few things instead of skimming across twenty.
SPEAKER_00What would you say to someone who genuinely feels behind though? That feeling is real for a lot of people.
SPEAKER_01I tell them the feeling is manufactured and the barrier to entry has never been lower. You're not behind. You can pick up the basics faster today than at any point in history. The people who look way ahead of you mostly just started, they're not geniuses. So drop the anxiety and just start with one thing.
SPEAKER_00So the message is use AI on your terms for your reasons.
SPEAKER_01On your terms for your reasons at your pace. Solve real problems, ignore the noise, and you'll end up further ahead than the person frantically chasing every trend. Calm and deliberate beats anxious and scattered every single time.
SPEAKER_00That hits home.
Paid Ads Readiness Quiz CTA
SPEAKER_01Quick one before you go. If you've been thinking about running paid ads, but you're not totally sure your business is ready for them, listen up. Most donors guess wrong on this, and guessing wrong gets expensive fast. Head over to intentionally inspirational.com, click on free resources in the top menu, and take the paid ads readiness quiz. It takes about 30 seconds. You'll find out if paid ads are actually the right move for you right now, or if there's something worth tightening up first. Thanks for listening.
SPEAKER_00Catch you later.
SPEAKER_01See you in the next episode. Stay curious and stay intentional with AI in your business.
